Portraits by Loryn Brazier
With
energy, color and light as her trademarks, Loryn approaches each portrait
painting with the intention of, first and foremost, creating a work that
will be enjoyed for years to come. Each portrait she creates is more than
merely a physical likeness of her subject. Rather, she paints her subjects
in situational genres that suggest insight into their character and reveal
a sensitivity to their personal history.
Loryn's paintings and portraits hang in corporate headquarters, financial institutions, courthouses, universities, hotels and hospitals, as well as in hundreds of private homes. Her portraits and paintings are shown in the book The Best of Oil Painting (1996), as well as Portrait Inspirations, and The Best of Portrait Painting (1998). While continuing the commissions of her private clients, Loryn also completed a genre portrait depicting 33 individuals, measuring twelve feet in length. (See below.)
