Loryn Brazier
After graduation from Virginia Commonwealth University, Loryn worked as an illustrator, art director, and advertising agency owner. Her award winning illustration and design work has appeared in numerous newspapers and national magazines. Her portraits and paintings are shown in the book The Best of Oil Painting (1996), Portrait Inspirations (1998), and The Best of Portrait Painting (1998).
In 1985, she spent a year traveling and painting in Europe and made the switch from advertising and commercial illustration to painting. She studied under the master portrait painter, Everett Raymond Kinstler, who studied with Frank Dumond, a protege of James Montgomery Flagg, who was a student of John Singer Sargent. She is an alumnus of the Santa Fe Institute of Art. Known for her portraits, she has a passion for landscape and figurative painting as well. Energy, color and light are her trademarks.
Loryn's paintings and portraits hang in corporate headquarters, financial institutions, courthouses, universities, hotels, hospitals, as well as in hundreds of private homes. Her work has been exhibited in the United States and France, and has had representation in Scotland and Denmark.
