Susan Colwell
Above: "Woodland Pond" Oil on Canvas, 54" x 44" $5400 unframed
Having been introduced to the love of painting as a child at the Toledo Museum of Art, Susan Colwell went on to earn her BFA from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She has lived in California, the Midwest, New York, Switzerland, and, for the last twenty years, the very lovely and distinctive lowcountry of South Carolina. This unique Southern landscape and the relaxed country lifestyle there provide inspiration for her very dramatic oil paintings which often possess a soft, "dreamy" quality. Susan's work, which she describes as abstract impressionist, may be found in numerous private and corporate collections throughout the United States.
