| Joseph Cave was born in 1936 in Columbia, South Carolina. He received his Master of Arts in Painting and Printmaking from San Francisco State College after serving in the U.S. Army. He is well-known for his large, dramatic landscapes and dynamic floral still life pieces. Cave's fearless style of painting combined with his bold brushwork and vibrant palette create a compelling combination. His paintings have been shown in numerous exhibitions in many prestigious art capitals, including San Francisco, London, Mendocino, and Lisbon, and Brazier Fine Art is proud to have hosted three solo exhibitions of his work since 1997. Joseph Cave's work may be found in numerous private and corporate collections throughout the United States and Europe. |
